Arkay had been watching the Threanic-like being going in and out of the kitchen for a while now. Out of all the members of the Thantir, quite a few of them were Skyavok-shaped. Not all the same species, but they looked similar enough. Teekay, Eksi and Psiksi were old-universe Skyavok, Kayel was a new-universe Skyavok and Kaytee was a Threan-type Retha, essentially a proto-Skyavok. Arkay was also originally a Threan-type Retha, but years and years of being an unwilling deity had caused Arkay to change somewhat, making him taller, more muscular and more heavily armoured. Still, when Arkay wanted to, he’d often make himself into a Skyavok anyway, to feel more included.
Normally, Arkay would know what the Threanic-likes were all doing, but today, Arkay was clueless. Well, as clueless as he could be, without using his telepathy. The main thing that Arkay had noticed was that Teekay had gone to Phovos a few times. Phovos had finished her daily blood donations and was lounging around, but whatever Teekay wanted from her, it was somewhat plant-like.
At first, Arkay wondered if they were doing something for Elkay, but Elkay had retired to his personal quarters, feeling dehydrated and headache-y, clearly not at all interested in what his partner was doing. Arkay did hear Teekay whisper to Kaytee, saying “he’s fine, he said it was fine, and he’s not interested right now.” That did give Arkay a small idea of what they were doing, but it was still weird.
After a while though, the Threanic-likes stopped rushing in and out of the kitchen. Instead, they went to the storage room, which had all sorts of random stuff in it, and no one knew how to keep the storage room organised. It was a mess, admittedly, but everyone was always too busy to sort it out.
Either way, the five little guys were rummaging around in the storage room and seemed to be focused on getting pillows and blankets. And they were taking them back and forth to the old Decayling classroom, which had been left mostly empty after the most recent Decaylings completed their trial.
Slowly, the transfer of soft things had stopped. Little orange sparkles could be seen as Kaytee teleported back and forth, moving the old desks in the classroom into the storage room. It seemed that Kayel was doing the same thing but via his shadowy powers. This commotion swiftly slowed down once everything had been moved.
For a moment, things were calm and still for the Threanic-likes. That quickly changed as Psiksi and Eksi returned to the kitchen and started making waffles, while Kayel was melting chocolate in a bowl, for the waffles to be dipped into. In the mean time, Teekay was still doing stuff in the back of the kitchen, but Kaytee was now taking bottles of water and mead to the classroom.
The Threanic-likes all finished their jobs, then picked everything up and took all their stuff to the classroom. Teekay was the last to enter, and he was carrying a large cauldron filled with a sweet-smelling liquid. Arkay wondered why there had been a cauldron in the kitchen. He wondered about a lot of things.
After a quick sigh, Arkay decided to head over to the classroom and see what was going on. Everyone else was inside, but Kayel was putting a Do Not Disturb sign on the door for some reason. Kayel didn’t notice Arkay’s approach though until Arkay was right by his side.
“Hiya, Arkay! What’s up?” Kayel smiled.
“Uh, nothing much.”
“You not working right now?”
Arkay gestured around. “It’s quiet. Itaviir’s on patrol and we don’t have any patients or anything currently. Also it’s technically night time. You lot though are clearly awake and doing things. And should be in bed or something.”
“Fair. We’re just going to have some fun. Do you want to join us?”
“I don’t even know what you’re doing.”
Kayel’s smile turned into a grin. “Well, Teekay had a chat with Elkay and Litvir earlier. Litvir said all us little guys can have a good 5 hours off work. And we’re doing something fun. And sexy.”
Arkay blinked. “Sexy?”
“Yep. And you’re invited. We were going to invite Elkay too but he wasn’t really interested and didn’t want to make himself into a Skyavok. We said it’d be fine if he wants to stay Rethan-shaped, but Elkay’s not up for fun right now. Poor guy has a super low libido.”
Arkay blinked some more. He’d finally put all the pieces together.
“Are you all planning an orgy?”
“Kinda.”
Before Arkay could say anything else, Kayel took Arkay by the hand and dragged him inside. The other Threanic-likes all waved at Arkay.
“Oh hey, we got one Synaisthyn to join us!” Teekay exclaimed. “Would have preferred two, but one is still plenty! Come on in!”
Arkay hesitantly did as he was told. Everyone else was lounging around on the pile of pillows and blankets, and the food and the mysterious cauldron had been placed on a table set up in the middle. Awkwardly, also on the table were a handful of sealed rubbers.
“Alright, this is weird.”
“It’s fun!” Eksi exclaimed. “Just a little get-fucked-up party between friends.”
“Still weird…” Arkay muttered. “You really are having an orgy. That’s really… uh… freakish, considering you and Psiksi are siblings.”
Psiksi just shrugged. “You have no idea how many times we had to put up with Arksi and Nenth fucking in the living room when we all shared the same apartment. They also repeatedly fucked in the bathroom, they’d sometimes steal my bedroom because it was darker than Arksi’s room and sometimes, weirdly, on the stairs. But this is more of a snuggle party than an actual orgy. Sex is optional. Cuddles are not.”
“But… what is the cauldron for?”
Kaytee grinned. “It’s a special cocktail of very nice things.”
“It’s basically a marijuana drink,” Teekay explained further. Something to help us all relax. And, this time round, I didn’t make it too potent.”
“We made a bunch for Teekay’s wedding, but we made it too strong and accidentally put some sort of aphrodisiac in too. This time, we got it right!” Eksi exclaimed.
“This is really utterly super weird…”
Kayel turned to Arkay. “Come on. It’ll be fun. Us Skyavok and Skyavok-lookalikes would love to have you join us.”
Arkay thought for a moment, then sighed. “Alright, fine. This is weird as fuck, but I’ll join you. What’s the worst that could happen…”
