Antitheta smiled aa the door slid open, revealing an empty travel station. The station was rather large and currently devoid of life. This didn:t bother Antitheta at all though. As far as she was concerned, the less beings she encountered, the better.
After a quick glance around, Antitheta made her way across the station. The many screens showing flights and dates had all been switched off, as if drained of power. The individual station platforms were also empty, suggesting that, whatever had happened, some beings had managed to at least get out of the sector. That was at least the good news. Less beings in the sector meant a smaller potential victim count.
As Anthitheta travelled through the station, she made note of how quiet everything was. The power issue was more an issue with electro-magnetic pulses. While somewhat easily fixable, Antitheta didn’t want to instantly reveal herself to the being who had caused this mess. But as she left the main hub, there were some tell-tale signs suggesting what had happened. This was definitely the work of a Zontanion. A powerful, reality-warping Life Goddess had waltzed in and claimed this place for herself. That wasn’t a particularly good position to be in though, as it wouldn’t take too long for another Deathven sector to come in and clear the place. A battle would have been far too chaotic for Antitheta though, even if she decided to cleanse the Life Goddess taint from this sector.
Stepping into a small kiosk to one side, Antitheta discovered something else. A Decay Lord had passed out on the floor, coated in an odd, off-white sheen. In the layer, anti-stars flickered on and off, and hot, bubbling void-nebulae pattern oozed over the being’s arms and legs.
“So she turned you all into slaves?” Antitheta muttered under her breath. “That is so… boring. And predictable.”
With a tut, Antitheta placed her hand across the fallen Decay Lord’s head. After a few seconds, the white coat faded away, dripping across the floor as it slowly changed from bright light to a dim blue.
Satisfied, Antitheta checked on the being’s vitals, then gently lifted the body up and lifted the unconscious Decay Lord back into his chair. She carefully checked on the Decay Lord’s vital signs, before making her way towards a back room, with CCTV stickers plastered across the door.
This new room would have taken a little bit longer to, but Antitheta simply passed through the door, her body intangible. Once she was on the other side, she unlocked the door, before inspecting the array of televisions, all tied to security cameras in the local area, as well as the three maps of the facility on her right. She then focused on the interactive map to the left.
With a couple of blinks, Anthitheta had all the information she needed, at least for now.
Smiling slightly, Antitheta left the security room and made her way out of the station.
“This is going to be fun…” Anthitheta whispered. “Maybe too much fun…”
