A Ferocious Offer

“Wait, which one of us is the scary one?” Tenuk asked as he read the sign on the door. “It says only our most ferocious member can enter.”

The Dessaron glanced at each other, all shrugging and unsure.

“Maybe we should vote?” Phovos suggested.

“Sure thing!” Elksi giggled. “I vote for Phovos!”

Tenuk nodded his head. “Definitely Phovos.”

Retvik seemed uneasy, regretably mentioning his vote. “I believe Phovos is too.”

The Raptor blinked. “You think I am the scariest? Compared to flaming hunk here and how Elksi can manipulate time?”

“You’re literally known as ‘The Raptor’…” Tenuk sighed. “That’s your title which you have never lost. So yeah, you are definitely the most ferocious.”

Phovos rolled her eyes, then knocked on the door, not sure what to expect.

“Come in!” a friendly voice shouted. “I’ve been waiting for you!”

The door creaked open slowly, releasing a very floral scent. Phovos hesitated, then stepped inside. She had intended to leave the door open a bit, but Phovos had little choice in the matter as the door slammed shut, just as Phovos was clear.

Much like the scent of the room, everything was incredibly pink and floral. There were two small, pink flowers with a rose pattern on them, a closed window from which one could see nothing but trees and wild flowers, and a desk with two chairs, decorated with pink and purple ribbons. The only sources of light were from the window and from strings of fairy lights all wrapped around the furniture. The floor on the other hand was a heavy duty plastic, under which a small stream flowed.

“What the…” Phovos couldn’t help but mutter.

“Good day, little Raptor!” A naked, druid-like being asked from behind the desk. It was a Life Goddess, clearly female, with long, delicate fingers, a rather gentle but reptilian face and a mane made out of pink and white roses, which wrapped across her whole body and trailed along the floor behind her.

“Hello, uh…” Phovos stuttered. It was hard not to stare, since this Life Goddess’s tits were hanging out, rocking from side to side as the Life Goddess played with her hair. “What is this? Why have you called for me?”

“My little dear, I have summoned you Dessaron because I have a job for you.”

“So why have you left the other three quarters of the Dessaron outside?” Phovos quickly asked back. “Their thoughts and stuff are all as valuable as mine.”

“You’re the only Life Goddess among them.”

Phovos closed her eyes and grunted, not liking what she was hearing. “I am not a Life Goddess. Can you tell me why you summoned us?”

The Life Goddess nodded, then waved. “Very well. I am Misloyia, part of the local Periuniversal Neighbourhood Watch, and I have noticed some rather odd activity in a nearby sector. We believe it to be some sort of gathering of Voidborns, and I have been asked to ask you to keep an eye on this gathering. Just in case something happens.”

“Is that…” Phovos paused. “Is that all you want?”

“Yep.”

“And that whole-”

“Just a simple test, to make sure you would comply.”

Phovos sighed some more. “Is there a reward for this, or-”

“Whatever you find in this gathering, it is yours. With a place filled with Voidborn younglings, there is bound to be a lot of gold being shown off.”

“Huh…” Phovos trailed off, making her way to the door. “I need to speak to the rest of the team.”

“Of course!” Misloyia smiled. “Have a chat and let me know what you think…”
