Offer of Ahkron

Something was watching Yisini as she bathed in the glorious pink, frothy rivers of her jungle home. Whatever it was, it had been watching Yisini for quite some time now, not breathing, not moving, not doing anything apart from watching. At first, the Allbirther, the giver of life itself, hadn’t noticed. After all, she was a beautiful being and any creature capable of navigating through the dangerous beauty that was Yisini’s home deserved to have a peak at her perfect, permanently naked body. But since this strange thing hadn’t approached Yisini yet, she was beginning to worry.

It wasn’t until Yisini decided to climb out of the water that the something moved. The something moved towards her. And it was much, much bigger than Yisini expected.

“Hi…” Yisini almost stuttered. “What are you doing here, Kenon?”

The being tilted its antlered head to one side. “I am not Kenon.”

“Oh, that’s good…” Yisini summoned a small towel and began to dry herself off. She didn’t need to summon a towel, but she liked how the fluffy fabric felt on her scaly skin. “Because Kenon creeping on me would be weird, considering he’s my father and all that. What are you and what are you doing here?”

“I am Ahkron…” the being smiled. It didn’t offer much more about its identity, but Yisini could tell that it was somehow related to Kenon. The golden armour, the massive antlers and the strange lack of a physical body underneath. This being was a Voidborn, a being born outside of any potential universe.

“Huh… And why are you here?”

Ahkron continued to smile. “I have been watching you over the last few of your universe’s weeks. You are a beautiful divine but one who cannot fulfil her destiny of eternal natural life. At least, not without help.”

Yisini blinked, scanning the Voidborn. Something about this being threw her off. She knew that Kenon was a wholly good being, despite his strange ways. But she wasn’t getting that vibe off the being in front of her.

“What are you talking about?”

“I can make your universe immortal.”

The Allbirther squinted at Ahkron, mostly in disbelief. “Is this some sort of scheme or something? Are you one of those door-to-door universal salesbeings or something? Because that’s what you sound like.”

Ahkron laughed at Yisini’s suggestion. “Oh no, I actually offer results.”

“How?”

The Voidborn shifted closer to Yisini, putting a hand on both her shoulder and her waist. Yisini felt unsure about this but played along. After all, if she needed help, her family would be there for her in an instant.

Ahkron let go of Yisini’s shoulder, holding his golden clawed hand in front of her. As he did so, a strange beam of light appeared, creating a hologram of an unusual contraption. “It is very simple. We freeze your Whenvern so that time slows down, then we impale your pesky Death God on this special device, which will drain its immortality and hand it out to all beings in existence.”

Yisini shook her head. “That sounds nice and all but any time I try to tamper with those two, it always backfires. Frankly, hurting them in general is a bad thing.”

Suddenly, Ahkron’s grip around Yisini’s waist tightened. He pulled Yisini in front of her, holding the Allbirther tightly.

“You are rejecting my offer? A beautiful, smart being like you? Rejecting a fellow eternal desirer such as myself?”

“Well, it’s all very tempting, but, like, I’m sure I’ll figure it out on my own, you know?” Yisini was getting very nervous now. She tried to pull away, but Ahkron wasn’t letting her. “Uh, dude, you’re… pressuring me…”

Ahkron smiled again, but this time there was malice in his eyes. Yisini immediately tried to push herself away, but something snapped around her neck and wrists, preventing her from doing so.

“Let me go!” the Allbirther screamed, desperately trying to wriggle free. “LET ME GO!”

“Now now…” Ahkron continued to grin as he wrapped a gag around Yisini’s mouth. “Don’t be like that. I am going to give you everything you ever wanted…”
