Yisini’s Thoughts

Yisini eyed the pink, elegant water suspiciously. She wanted to bathe in the springs and waterfalls around her jungle kingdom, to stretch out and relax in the warm, running waters, but something in the back of her brain was bothering her.

The last time she was here, Yisini had ended up getting kidnapped by a horrible, white and gold being who wanted to forcibly marry her then destroy her universe. Actually, now that Yisini was thinking about it, that bastard was probably going to destroy her universe anyway, stealing her away and marrying her was a secondary agenda.

Either way, the whole sequence of events had greatly disturbed her.

Of course, there was always the whole shock and amazement that everything had happened the way it did, and that Yisini had survived mostly unscathed and all of that, but there was something else…

Yisini’s trail of thought was interrupted by the presence of the Whenvern, hovering above her.

Am I interrupting anything?”

Oh no!” Yisini frowned. “I was just contemplating on bathing or not.”

Oh. Sorry.”

Kairos was about to fly off, but Yisini reached up and grabbed the Whenvern by the tail.

Don’t leave.”

You want to talk?”

Yeah.”

With a flap of his wings, Kairos landed at the top of the waterfall and settled down. “What do you want to talk about?”

Yisini sighed to herself, not sure where to start. “I dunno… am I a hypocrite?”

A hypocrite?”

Yeah.”

Kairos shrugged. “How do you mean?”

Well… I used to be rather… mean… I’d force things to be with me, sleep with me. I was a genuinely bad being.”

The Whenvern didn’t say anything. Yisini didn’t like that.

Thing is, I kinda did all that… and then I had it happen to me. Ahkron… he was going to make me do all the things that I had done to mortals. And tried to do to you and Arkadin. I am a horrible being, aren’t I? I’m an awful hypocrite.”

Kairos hesitated for a moment. “Did you… always think that the things you did to mortals, you wouldn’t have liked if they had happened to you?”

No…” Yisini stuck her hand in the water, splashing it around. “I never even considered any of it… ever happening to me.”

But you realise that it was wrong now?”

This time, Yisini nodded. “Yeah. I was wrong. I was a monster. I was cruel and mean and abused my power.”

You realise that now?”

Yeah.”

Kairos shrugged. “And how do you feel now? Are you going to resume what you were doing in the past, being… kinda rape-y… or are you going to change yourself? Will you continue as you were or will you change?”

I don’t think you’re a hypocrite. You were just ignorant and a massive cunt.”

The Allbirther glared at Kairos.

Don’t look at me like that, you were. But you’ve learned that you were wrong and you’re going to change, yes?”

Yeah… I was wrong…”

And you won’t do that stuff again.”

No. I won’t. Because it was wrong and I was wrong.”

Kairos smiled. “Good. That means that even a massive cunt like you can change into being less of a massive cunt.”

Yisini grunted, then smiled back. “Yeah, you’re right. Thank you.”

The Whenvern nodded, then flew off. “No worries, sister. Stay safe.”

You too…”
