Requesting Questions

“What are you doing, Allbirther?”

Yisini didn’t respond to the question. She was busy peering down a microscope, staring intently as she very gently nudged some cells around on a glass dish and observed the results.

“Allbirther, I am talking to you.”

Yisini continued to not respond. She needed to concentrate on what she was doing.

“Allbirther…”

Something nudged Yisini’s shoulder. This caused her to flinch and knock the glass dish to one side, pushing the cells completely out of order. Yisini growled to herself then turned to see who the fuck was bothering her.

“Thanks, Kenon, you just ruined a day’s worth of research. What the fuck do you want?”

Kenon stepped back, his arms neatly crossed and his armour clean and shiny. Yisini immediately noticed that he had changed from his normal, deer-like form into what was obviously the body of a Rethavok, complete with gold trims to his armour and a flowing black cape.

“I need to speak to you, Yisini.”

“What about?” Yisini snorted. “What’s so important that you had to interrupt my T-Cell editing work in my attempts to make stronger white blood cells?”

Kenon lowered his head, frowning. He wasn’t happy. Yisini didn’t care, she wasn’t happy either. She had actually been getting somewhere for once and Kenon had just ruined her work.

“I need to talk to you about Arkadin. I know he came and visited you yesterday. I need to know what you discussed.”

Yisini squinted, then tutted, then shook her head. “No can do.”

“Why not?” Kenon asked, tapping his clawed fingers impatiently. “Why can you not tell me about what Arkadin said?”

“Bros before hoes and patient confidentiality, my dear!” Yisini tutted as she began to clean up the mess she had inadvertently made. Cleaning up mostly involved incinerating all the equipment she had used, pushing everything towards an obvious hole in the table that, when opened, echoed with flames and heat. “What Arkadin and I discussed is between me and Arkadin.”

Kenon closed his eyes, sighing. “You need to tell me. It is important.”

“It’s not important!” Yisini snapped back. “He wanted to discuss something important with me! Something private! He requested that it be private and I will keep my promise by keeping our discussion private!” Yisini paused for a moment. “What is wrong with you and Arky lately anyway? You’ve been a right bitch to him!”

“He has been interfering with what are essentially my rights. I have a claim to a favoured race. He chose to not do anything until it was too late.”

“You didn’t have to be a dick about it though. You knew Arkadin liked the Rethavok, you knew he had good relations with them then you pissed all over that and claimed it as your own!” Yisini sneered. “Not like this universe is short of beings that can worship you, Kenon.”

“Well maybe he should have told me that himself!” Kenon grunted. “Either way, it is over now. I just wish to know what you discussed with Arkadin.”

Yisini rolled her eyes. “It’s none of your business and it was nothing to do with you!”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes!” the Allbirther shouted. “Now fuck off so I can get back to my work!”

Kenon shook his head. “I do not believe you.”

Yisini growled, using her tail to open the door and push Kenon towards it. “Well you can go fuck yourself then, because what we discussed DOESN’T CONCERN YOU! Get the fuck out of here!”

“Very well…” Kenon sighed, leaving the room. “I do hope you are not lying to me though.”

“Yeah, and I do hope you stop being an asshole!” Yisini snapped, slamming the door in Kenon’s face. “Why do you have to always be such a colossal cunt…”
