The majority of the mortal species are not religious and haven’t been since the Deitics fell 2000 years ago, having relinquished all religion. The only races that still have a religion are the Bayvak, who preach oneness with nature, and the Thanatians, who worship the light from the stars. Neither of these are official religions, following them is considered optional although believers ask that others respect their ceremonies and religious holidays. Small groups among races may have their own religions or cults, but these are not linked to the species as a whole.
The Maza states that any being is free to believe what they wish, as long as it does not harm any other being.
