Bar Pick Up

“Did you boys have fun?” Vick asked as he climbed off Arkay’s ship and headed into the bar.

It was technically very late at night, so the place was closed to customers, and everything had been put away and things were nice and tidy. However, the bar was a little messier. Not because there were bottles or anything to it but because there was a plastic sheet on part of the bar, and, on top of that sheet, Ret was laying on it in an uncomfortable manner. He seemed to be asleep, and metaphysical white and purple chains kept him in place, lying on his back.

“Um, what have you three been up to?” Arkay had followed Vick inside and had quickly worked out what Letharus, Kuta and Ret had been doing.

“Experimenting!” Letharus beamed. “Lots of experimenting. But do not fret, we have kept the place clean and sanitary!”

“Were you… were you chaining Ret to the bar and… screwing him?” Vick had also just worked out what was going on.

Letharus nodded. “We are a bit drunk and Kuta has been teaching me about sexual kinks. We decided to give one a go.”

Vick blinked in confusion. “How… how drunk are you?”

“Very?” Kuta suggested.

“Very!” Letharus agreed. “Admittedly though, this is… the first time we did this. We have been perfectly well behaved the entire time up until now.”

“Mostly.”

“Mostly.”

Vick glanced at Letharus. “So… you have just been fucking around with those two?”

“No, no!” Letharus suddenly got defensive. “We have been running the bar as we should! We actually had a LOT of customers today, but we got everything cleaned and tidied up and… we got… a little bored and rowdy wondering when you were going to come back… I… I am sorry… I should… I should have… asked you first…”

“It’s fine, I’m not bothered, I’m just… surprised, I guess?” Vick shrugged. “Has it been busy?”

“Yes. A lot of folks have been asking for you!” Kuta smiled. “They were wondering where you were. And Ret also was called Vick a lot. We mostly stuck him at the bar. It turns out, Ret is actually a really good bartender. But we also… did wear Ret out a little.”

“We railed him.”

“Yes, we railed him.”

“And we knocked Ret out a little.”

“We did also do that, yes.”

Vick blinked some more. “So… Ret is… asleep right now?”

A quiet snore answered Vick’s question.

“Okay then…” Vick tutted. “I think, at some point, us Retviks needs to do something with you Psions and punish you all or something.”

“Oh, please do!” Letharus giggled. “Punish me. I have been naughty!”

Kuta nudged Letharus. “You need to be slightly less obvious and excited if you wish to be a good sub.”

“Oh. I see…”

“Anyway, can we get going, please?” Arkay butted in. “I don’t like cutting things short, but I got a message from Litvir saying he needs to speak to me and Ret and he doesn’t want to talk over the phone. Not sure WHY he needs to speak to Ret and not Kuta but it must be important.”

“Fair enough,” Letharus shrugged, snapping his fingers. As he did so, the chains around Ret disappeared, but Ret remained asleep. “Do you need me to wake Ret up?”

“No, no, I will wake Ret up…” Kuta frowned briefly. “However, I would like us Psions and our partners to all meet up and have another drunken party. This was fun but this was also work. What we did in the winter was far more fun.”

Vick also shrugged. “We’ll work something out. But I just want to spend some time back here, where things are familiar. What we did was nice, but seeing Tenuk and Elksia was… kinda weird. I got things I need to digest, and so does Arkay. It was nice spending time with you again, though, kid.”

“I enjoyed it too. We’ll definitely do this again, but I’m getting concerned about Litvir’s message now.”

Kuta grunted, then clapped their hands together. Ret instantly woke up and snapped to attention.

“Oh… Hello!” Ret blinked a few times as he climbed off the bar top. “Oh, Kyr Vick, you are back! Welcome back! I refilled all the kegs and snacks and things for you.”

Vick patted Ret on the shoulder. “Thanks, kiddo. You guys are heading off now.”

“We are?”

“Yep. Apparently Litvir needs to speak to you. In person.”

“Oh. That is weird…”

“It is!” Arkay frowned. “Come on, you two little miscreants. Let’s head back to Savepoint.”

“Thanks for looking after both Letharus and my bar!” Vick waved as Arkay dragged Kuta and Ret off, back to the ship outside.

“No worries! Thank you for the fun, Kyr Letharus, and see you again soon, Kyr Vick!” Ret waved back.

“Is everything alright?” Kuta lowered their voice as Arkay got them and Ret on the ship, then swiftly started everything up. Weirdly, as soon as Ret strapped himself in, he fell asleep again, and Arkay was pretty sure he was still kinda knocked out from his being dominated by two powerful Psions, and Kuta had only woken Ret up enough to get him to the ship without having to carry him.

“Yeah, I think so…” Arkay muttered. “I’m just… not emotionally doing well right now.”

“Want to talk about it?” Kuta asked.

“Eh, it’s complicated. Mostly because Vick, Tenuk and Elksos were companions I made at the very start of my hideously long life, and it’s… insane that they are still around, but also kinda different people. But their paths to right now were far less painful than mine, and my memories are so all over the place that it was hard holding a decent conversation with them…” Arkay trailed off briefly. “Also, I am genuinely worried about Litvir’s message. He normally doesn’t message me like that.”

Kuta shrugged. “I am sure it is not too bad. If Litvir is anything like me, which he certainly is, sometimes he gets funny about certain subjects and cannot talk about them unless he can see you.”

Arkay shrugged as well. “You’re probably correct. Anyway, let’s get home. I’m beginning to miss it…”
