Compromising Positions

“They let you out already?”

Litvir didn’t mean to sound so surprised, but considering what he had seen just the other day, he did genuinely think that he wouldn’t be seeing Arkadin for a while. Arkadin had just entered the room, looking like… well, not like nothing had happened, but he wasn’t covered in blood. The bigger problem was that Arkadin had just walked in on Litvir and Retvik while they were somewhat… compromised.

“Uh, yeah, they did. Decay Lords seem to think I didn’t do anything really wrong…” Arkadin immediately changed the subject, moving to the conundrum in front of him. “I, uh, didn’t catch you two in the middle of something, did I?”

“Yes, yes you did…”

Retvik awkwardly tried to cover himself up with a couple of cushions, hiding his exposed parts. Litvir however didn’t even attempt to make himself decent. In fact, he leaned back on the bed of cushions, moving his legs further apart.

“Oh, we were busy, yes. But you may join us, if you want. There is plenty of space for everyone!” Litvir smiled, with nearly no hint of embarrassment. Retvik on the other hand was sweating, and would have been blushing bright red if it wasn’t for his already red and grey skin and armour.

Arkadin inspected the scene in front of him, acknowledging what he was seeing but not quite understanding it. This room was the Decayling Private Quarters, where the three of them could relax in their own, private, unwatched space. That Arkadin understood. What he clearly hadn’t processed yet was that he’d walked in on his two fellow Decaylings having some sort of sexual encounter.

“I… I can explain…” Retvik stuttered.

“Maybe you should let me explain,” Litvir smiled, looking much more confident. “Simply put, Arkadin, Retvik and I had emotions that needed to be satisfied. Made worse by Seimeni’s meddling, of course. But even after Seimeni’s interference on us faded, we realised that we fit quite well together. We did discuss inviting you to join us, but you have been… not present, the last few days.”

“You two were in here, having sex?”

Litvir tutted, but was still smiling. “Oh no. We were engaging in… mutual masturbation.”

“So you were having sex?” Arkadin repeated, clearly confused and vaguely surprised.

“We did not have sex!” Retvik growled. “As much as I would like to, we did no such thing. Unfortunately, what Seimeni did to us has, well, caused havoc with my mind…” Retvik trailed off, then sighed “I am sorry, Arkadin, that… that, well… that you saw this.”

Arkadin thought for a moment, then shrugged. “It’s alright. Things are weird around here. I’m just surprised that you two like each other that much, since you’re basically polar opposites who kinda used to be enemies and stuff.”

“You…” Both Retvik and Litvir were surprised by Arkadin’s response, Retvik far more so than Litvir. “You… really… are not bothered?”

Arkadin shrugged some more. “You’re both still basically mortal, with mortal desires. I probably would have done the same in your place.”

“Understandable!” Litvir seemed fine. Retvik relaxed ever so slightly. “Would you care to join us, Arkadin?”

“Uh…” Arkadin hesitated, then shook his head, stepping back out of the room. “I’ll pass, for now. Have things… I need to sort out.”

“Well, alright!” Litvir beamed as the door gently closed.

As soon as the door was shut and they could tell Arkadin was no longer there, Litvir immediately turned to Retvik.

“That could have gone a lot worse.”

“It could have gone a lot better too.”

“Do you want me to go and check on him?”

Retvik shook his head, getting up and grabbing his armour. “No. I will go speak to him. After all, it is my mistake to bear.”

Litvir put a hand on Retvik’s side. “No, it is not. It is our mistake to bear. But we will fix this. I have faith in the three of us.”

“That is a kind thought…” Retvik sighed as he headed to the door. “But I doubt Arkadin sees things the way we do…”
