Spacial Letterbox

“Good morning, Kinisis, did you rest well?”

The Allmaker kicked the blankets off her bed. Both she and Kenon knew that Kinisis never really slept, she would just take short breaks with her eyes closed, but Kinisis appreciated the sentiment. Everything within this cute little bedroom seemed rather ill-fitting for the being that created the entire universe, but the shades of pink and cute, bubbly, girlish images did make the room very comfortable.

“Morning, Kenon! What’s up?”

“I have post for you.”

“Post?” Kinisis blinked. “Post! It’s… it’s not all death threats again, is it? I get a lot of those. Wait, is this internal post or stuff from the spacial letterbox right on the edge of the universe?”

Kenon checked the pile of letters in his hand. “These are from the spacial letterbox. I have already checked our normal intra-universal post and farmed it out to the correct deities to deal with each issue. The spacial letterbox contained some post that seemed… worthy of reading.”

“You mean it isn’t all death threats?”

“No, Kinisis.”

Kinisis threw herself out of bed, disappeared then instantly reappeared next to Kenon, grabbing the post from his hand and skimming through it. There were a lot of death threats though, mostly generic messages sent by Corruptions, trying to scare young universes into joining them or luring them into traps. Things like that, which Kinisis was already aware of. But in her hands was one particularly fancy, unopened letter which she had to take a look at.

“What’s this one?”

Kenon shrugged. “I do not know. It is not corrupted. Nor is it booby trapped in any way.”

“Heh, booby…” Kinisis giggled. She slid one of her long claws through the glittery, lilac envelope, trying not to damage it too much. Inside was even more glitter and a strange, lavender scent. Kinisis glanced at Kenon, who nodded approvingly.

“It is safe, Kinisis. I had it checked in a myriad and one ways.”

“You sure?”

“Yes.”

“Alright…” Kinisis pulled out the letter, shaking glitter all over herself and Kenon, then hummed to herself as she opened it up.

The paper on the inside was light, almost like silk, while the plain back was seemingly rather standard yet homemade. Writing covered the silk side, with splodges of ink scattered about. The handwriting was neat and tidy, definitely feminine but also perfectly legible. But what was written on the letter was rather confusing. After reading the letter in her head the first time, Kinisis decided to read the letter out loud.

“Dear Kinisis, it has been a long, long time since we all got together and met up and had a little party! So how about the Sisters all get together in 9*10^-50 Planck Moments and have a good old party! Same place, same rules as before, bring one of the kids, no Voidborns and no Corruptions, and make sure you bring a ton of snacks and alcohol! See you soon! Lots of hugs and kisses, Seimeni!”

Kenon tutted. “Who is Seimeni?”

“Uh…” Kinisis stuttered. “You remember when in one of the last attempts, I had a sort of half-sister and you slept with her? Seimeni is her kid, former Life Goddess turned into a universal mother. Been meaning to keep in touch and never really got around to it.”

“Hm…”

“What?” Kinisis blinked. “You seem… not happy.”

“The opposite, actually. I think you should go. Sounds like a good time. I am more upset that they specifically said that Voidborns like myself are not invited…”

“Yeah but… who do I take with me?”

“Take Arkadin.”

Kenon’s immediate answer caught Kinisis by surprise. “You think?”

“Yes.”

“We should ask him first.”

“Take him anyway.”

Kinisis shook her head. “No, no, I’ll ask him, see what he thinks, then have a chat with the other kiddos. We got time.”

Kenon glanced at the letter. “How much time? I apologise, I am bad at converting Planck moments.”

“Oh, it’s in about a week or so. Plenty of time to get ready…”
