Adventures in the Space Between Universes
Everything was black, but there were little candles floating around, providing a scant amount of light. But Elkay-En and Vekeus clearly didn’t care about the darkness, because they were preoccupied by the large, Voidborn-like being standing before them. “Welcome, little ones. I am Overlord, and I wish to discuss your trial and your future with … Read more
“That is… I love it!” Vekeus exclaimed. “That’s ingenious! But… I have questions. You… you don’t normally have that sort of power.” Elkay-En sighed. His plan was genuinely a good one, and hopefully without any risk. But it did involve Elkay-En doing things he had not really practised much before. A low growl echoed across … Read more
“Its Removal Will Release You. Remove The Beast And Be Free.” Vekeus and Elkay-En were confused. They were all armoured up and carrying an array of weapons. But there was nothing around them to fight. No monsters, nothing. They weren’t even sure where they were. Everything all around them was an annoying dull white, with … Read more
Vekeus glanced at the clock in the corner, then sighed. He should have been enjoying himself. He had a cute little Threan-type-like being standing behind him, giving him a great massage, and, sitting next to him was his half-brother, who Vekeus had thought was dead for years, happily petting someone who was shapeshifted into the … Read more
“It’s just occurred to me, I don’t even know how we get important mail here. We have an address, I assume, but how does stuff get here?” Arkay and Elkay-En both glanced at Vekeus, unsure how to respond to the sudden question. In Arkay’s arms was a large box, and he was leading Vekeus and … Read more
“Have you ever considered having a surname?” Galyn looked up from what he was doing. Admittedly, Galyn wasn’t doing much. He was just happily stuffing his face with a bowl of mash, gravy and soft meat. It had been a long day of guard duty and cleaning, and Galyn was finally relaxing. “A what?” Sitting … Read more
Work was over, and neither Kuta nor Ret had anything to do currently, so Kuta had made a few telepathic suggestions, and now Ret was sneaking to Kuta’s room. Admittedly, Kuta’s room was literally next door, but Ret kept his “silly sexy stuff” in his room, and he didn’t particularly like people knowing when he … Read more
“I wonder how things are going in there…” Phovos sipped her incredibly fruity cocktail, then shrugged. She was lounging on a deck chair that was way too big, staring out into the void. Sitting with her were two of her siblings. Elkay-En was his normal grumpy self, and wanted to get away from Savepoint for … Read more
“I don’t feel ready…” Elkay-En had been muttering that a lot over the last three hours. Which was weird, because four hours ago, Elkay-En had stated the opposite, that he was ready. He and Vekeus had submitted their application to do a Decay Lord Trial together and were now waiting for a confirmation and a … Read more
There was definitely a rush to get off the ship that had just landed in the Thantir members’ parking lot. Kuta was never quite as overly emotional as their twin sibling Litvir, but Kuta was very openly displaying how upset they were as they charged towards those who were waiting for them and immediately hugged … Read more
Ret glanced up as a familiar flaming face approached, then sat down next to Ret without asking. Admittedly, Retvik was the leader of the Thantir, technically, so he could kinda do whatever he wanted, but Ret found it odd how he’d just… approached. “Hello, Kyr Ret, are you alright?” Ret hadn’t been doing anything. He … Read more
The trip to Vick’s place had been rather quiet. Both Arkay and Litvir were carrying little overnight bags, but Litvir had also sneaked a bottle of berry vodka into his bag. It wasn’t until halfway through the trip that Litvir realised that doing so was pointless, but he didn’t care. He was a little all … Read more
Vikalos had been wandering along the edge of Savepoint for a while, lost in thought, keeping to himself. He had joined in on the Great Ice Cream-Buying Incident, where Litvir and Elkay had bought everyone ice cream from a visiting vendor, but apart from that and his normal work, Vikalos had been a little distracted. … Read more
“What are we doing, Elkay?” Litvir asked as Elkay tugged at Litvir’s hand, towards a strange vehicle that had just touched down. Litvir was supposed to have things to do, special plans, things like that, but everything had been cancelled, and the people they were supposed to be spending time with had all gone off … Read more
Arkay had sensed Litvir approaching in a myriad of ways. Scent, time powers, telepathy and general intuition all warned him that Litvir was about to jump him, but Arkay knew that Litvir just wanted to be a little silly. So he continued to walk by that one shadow between the offices and the canteen area. … Read more
