Tale: Imprisonment

“Where is Teekay?”

That was the seventh time this group of five imprisoned Ksa had asked that. It was the K-Class Ksa in particular that were asking, they wanted to know where their favourite member was, but now even other Classes were asking. The guards looking after them were getting more and more worried, not knowing why they were all asking.

“Where is Teekay?”

Their superiors were getting sick of it too. It had started early yesterday morning, when the Ksa were being put together in groups of five and placed in their cells. Even with the highly powerful sedative drug, Antikinetin, coursing through their veins, these Ksa were still upright. When the K-Class were being sent to their cells, their older members noticed he was missing.

“Where is Teekay?”

“Great, now even the N-Class are asking!” One of the guards exclaimed. “They hate the K-Class!”

The superior, a heavily armoured general, stomped by. “We need to fix this. They will just get violent, and we can’t keep on pumping them with drugs.”

“Why not, ser?” another guard asked.

The general pointed at one of the cells. “Any more and they’ll go permanently blind. I hate this job sometimes…”

“Then why do you do it?”

“Normally I am dealing with dangerous criminals, not… This!” the general growled. “Sooner all this stupid Kalsa Warrior stuff ends, the better, otherwise we’ll have a rebellion here too.”

“Why don’t we just let them see him?” a third guard asked.

“That is what I was going to suggest. You!” the general pointed at the youngest guard. “Come with me. We’ll take him out and put him in the group 1 K-Class Ksa. Hopefully that will satisfy them…”

The youngest guard followed the general down to the very last cell. This one only contained a single Ksa, the one everyone was asking for. Unlike the other cells, where their occupants could roam somewhat freely, Teekay was tied to a bed and heavily sedated.

“Why is he like that?” the guard asked as he looked into the cell. “We have people like the Mage, the entirety of Light’s Wings and the Dessaron kid held here, why is this one so special?”

“The rest of them we can sedate normally and disable their powers. The Mage can be countered with a gag and handcuffs. Teekay Theanon has the… unique ability to teleport himself. Not sure how, but he can create brief, fast-acting portals,” the general explained as he typed in the code to open the cell.

Teekay groaned as the cell door opened. He was just about awake. The guard entered his cell and cautiously started untying him. The guard was a normal Rethan, his hands struggled with the small belts keeping Teekay down. Once his restraints were removed, the guard lifted Teekay up and threw him over his shoulder. It wasn’t the best way to carry the sleepy Threan-type, but it was quicker and easier than wheeling him out in his bed.

The general closed the cell and drew his gunstaff, just in case. The other group 1 K-Class Kssa were nearly on the other side of this makeshift complex.

“Come now, little one. Let’s go and see your friends…”
