Adventures in the Space Between Universes
Arkay Arkadin was surprised at just how pink everything suddenly was. One moment he had been surfing along the boundaries of his universe, swimming in a sea of black, and now suddenly he was drifting in currents of pink, with navy blue clouds. None of this looked right. Worse, there was a weird tingling sensation all … Read more
Tatters of space mingled with the distant void and the space between spaces, a current of foreign airs blowing through. A large hole had punctured the side of Kinisis’s universe, and the Allmaker was absolutely furious. “KENON, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING!” the Goddess of the Universe roared, stamping her feet in … Read more
Yisini clapped her hands with glee as she watched the little mortals fight in the arena below them. Sitting next to her was the Empress of the Temthans and in front of them was a table filled with luxurious food. To their left were several empty chairs, then an important Ksithan, a Thraki-Temthan and a … Read more
“You know, generally, when I’ve beaten you up and faded away dramatically, that means I do not want to see you any more!” Kinisis snapped as she leaped up from her cosy armchair. “Why in the name of Me are you here?” For such a small, snug and comfortable place, the central home of Kinisis, … Read more
Kairos opened his eyes, feeling weirdly refreshed. Had he been asleep? Had he just woken up? He wasn’t normally a being who needed to sleep. Kenon was sat in his favourite armchair, reading a book while a small fireplace burned away to itself. He had heard his two sons enter, but was choosing to ignore them. The universe twinkled away to itself, happily continuing its existence, unaware that a corruption had sought to destroy it only hours ago. Psiksi was tired, pissed off and hung over from the night before. He vaguely remembered having a chat with his mum, but apart from that, it was all a blur. Kairos had just been flying by when he spotted Yisini and Epani, both sitting on a little, lifeless rock, sighing at each other. “You called for me, All-Ksa?” Teekay asked as he entered the tent. For reasons Teekay could not explain, the All-Ksa, the leader of the Skyavok, was insisting on spending his time inside a tent on ground zero of a catastrophe, rather than letting the K-Class look after him. “Of course I did, Teekay…” Kayel sighed. … Read more
