Retvik: Nonsense. We have time. This isn’t like before.
Kazix: Well good!
Arkay: We’re just doing short bursts, right?
Kazix: Yes, people don’t like long, boring interviews.
Retvik: We already discussed this. Four short interviews.
Arkay: Ah alright.
Tenuk: I’m ready, I think everyone else is.
Elksia: Let’s do it!
Cameravok: Good. When I count down, Kazix will do the introduction, then you can begin. Ready?
Kazix: Ready.

Kazix: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to a very special interview. Just over a year ago, four spectacular Rethans took part in a series of interviews. Now, a year later, they are here again, all together. Retvik Rethianos, Tenuk Diplastron, Elksia Ksiou, Arkay Theanon, it is amazing to have you all here.
Retvik: Thank you very much, Kazix.
Elksia: Thank you!
Kazix: So, before we start, how are you all? It’s been a rocky ride the last few weeks.
Tenuk: For a change, all seems well with the universe.
Elksia: Pretty much, it’s been nice. We’ve been winning matches in the DBS, Retvik’s been running it, we’ve all been doing great. Apart from Arkay.
Arkay: Hey, I’ve been alright as well. Just a bit under the weather.
Kazix: Why is that?
Arkay: Nothing, really. Just a headache.
Elksia: At least his is normal, Tenuk and I went to a wicked party last night.
Tenuk: Mhm, not normally my style, but it was interesting.
Kazix: You are all doing well then. A big improvement from last year.
Tenuk: Very much so. I’ve worked hard to become part of Rethan society. I even have a surname now.
Kazix: Where did the name Diplastron come from?
Tenuk: I did mostly just make it up. It has meaning to me but no one else.
Kazix: You think you have settled in?
Tenuk: Mostly, yes. Not as a true Rethan, for I am ineligible to even serve in your Stratos, but I like to believe that others see me as a Rethan.
Kazix: What about the rest of you, have you all settled in?
Elksia: It’s all back to business for me! Part time with the Silver Fangs, part time sparring in the DBS! I’m totally really happy. Plus I’m like semi-famous and that’s awesome.
Arkay: I guess? Others aren’t avoiding me any more, which is good. And I have a few part-time things going on. I really can’t complain.
Retvik: Unfortunately for me, things have taken an unusual turn with my new occupation.
Kazix: You run the Dessaron Battle System now, correct? How did that happen?
Retvik: Gath and myself have known Phovos Tromou for a long time. Gath more than I, but when you’re running a huge system like the DBS, you need someone smart. Phovos clearly didn’t have anyone else to turn to. That being said, I am not running it completely by myself. Lokmahro, one of Phovos’ closest Thraki friends, is assisting me. And Gath is being supportive, as always.
Kazix: I’ve heard there’s been an increase in profits?
Arkay: Hasn’t Phovos been running the Battle Arena for like 200 years?
Retvik: Exactly, new blood always helps.
Kazix: I see. How has the last year been for you? In particular, the event that many have dubbed the Soul Rupture?
Arkay: Holy Light, the Soul Rupture was horrible.
Kazix: Why? You can’t complain about immortality.
Arkay: You can complain about the fact that everyvok went infertile and every pregnant being out there ended up with a stillborn kid! And the Veth… Gah…
Kazix: I take it you weren’t fond of…
Arkay: We bloody were Veth!
Retvik: We were among the first to turn into Veth. The only reason why it seemed like the epicenter of the event was here on Portalia was because the four of us were based here.
Elksia: My memory ain’t that great, but I honestly don’t remember much of what happened anyway. There was, like, a big castle we destroyed or something. I remember that.
Arkay: I was taking the maximum dosage of Vials and they did fuck all.
Kazix: How much was that?
Retvik: Five Vials every two hours. It was an atrocious time. Death may be nipping at our claws once more, but at least the universe is still spinning.
Tenuk: I spent most of my time during the Soul Rupture in hiding. My half-Deitic nature meant that whenever I was not a Veth, I was in grave danger.
Kazix: So the Deitic thing was true?
Tenuk: Of course. Amusingly, our roles were reversed. Everyone around me was immortal and I was not.
Kazix: But you survived.
Tenuk: Luckily. There were many close calls.
Kazix: We’ve been hearing rumors that you were involved in rescuing the High General when the Soul Rupture ended. Can you confirm that?
Arkay: We cannot.
Tenuk: Nothing about that can be confirmed until the reports come out.
Kazix: Oh. What about other events? How are your personal lives? Arkay and Elksia in particular, you’ve both been spotted with partners.
Arkay: I’d appreciate it if everyone would stop bringing that up. Yeah, I had a relationship. It ended. Move on already.
Elksia: Just because you’re bad at relationships doesn’t mean I can’t talk about mine! Me and Vel love each other very much. He made me a beautiful dagger. Looks just like that pendant that Tenuk got.
Tenuk: That is supposed to be a secret.
Elksia: Oops.
Tenuk: It’s fine. Yes, I am dating. As to who that is, I cannot say yet. He does not want it to be public knowledge. But he is lovely. And you shouldn’t fret about little Arkay. Everyone loves Arkay.
Arkay: That is true. I get an awkwardly large amount of mail.
Kazix: Seems like you’re all quite satisfied then.
Retvik: We really are. I did not believe that, a year ago, we would be sitting here, feeling comfortable about everything. There are still many, many things we do not ever discuss, but…
Elksia: We’re good.
Arkay: We really are.
Tenuk: They never thought they would have normal lives again. I never knew I would have a life to begin with.
Kazix: What WAS your life before now?
Tenuk: Pointless.
Kazix: How do you mean?
Retvik: Immortality isn’t as fun as many make it out to be, unfortunately. Correct?
Tenuk: Correct.
Kazix: How about the future? Surely that isn’t pointless.
Retvik: Oh, not at all. The future is bright for everyvok.
Arkay: For a change.
Kazix: That is good to hear. Any last words before we wrap up today’s interview?
Retvik: Be kind to one another.
Tenuk: Love one another.
Elksia: Eat lots of iced cream.
Arkay: And don’t be a twunt.
Kazix: Hahaha! Very funny.
Arkay: It’s true though.
Retvik: It is.
