The Dessaron are a team of four Retha: Arkay Theanon, Elksia Ksion, Retvik Rethianos and the otherwise unknown Tenuk. After many years of suffering in the hands of the Deitics, defeated the Anexartitai during the Great Deitic War, thus ending it. In their honour, the Dessaron Battle System was named after them. Having spent over 10 years together, the four Retha have a powerful telepathic bond, meaning they are very hard to separate.
In May 2004, Retvik, Arkay and Elksia, among 20 other beings, were captured by a Kronospast/Allagon incursion. While the other 20 beings returned five months later, having managed to break free from their captors and suffering from trauma from their torture, the Retha were nowhere to be found. Survivors claimed that they were saved by a standard Retha, a Hertan-type and a Threan-type, with no mention of Tenuk, although some survivors claimed they were assisted by a Kronospast whose personality matched Tenuk’s.
The three Retha were later joined by Tenuk and sent back in time, where they were once again captured by Deitics and tortured, before breaking free and helping the beings of the past fight back. Because of their extra-temporal status, evidence of what the Dessaron did often disappeared incredibly quickly, so little trace of their existence remains. The only substantial source of evidence is at the sight of the Battle of Portalia, where blood traces have been found all over the place.
On July 1st 2015, the Dessaron reappeared, locked inside an ancient Toanex tomb in Vohra territory on Portalia. They were found by a group of 6 Kalsa Warriors and were taken back to planet Rethre to recover. Unable to fit back into normal life, they returned to Portalia and set up home there.
Retvik is a standard-type Retha with massively increased strength and stamina and an indomitable will, much like other members of the Rethianos family. He’s the former general of the decorated 270th Legion, best known for defeating an invading Vohran army that destroyed the city of Thre-Sypria in 2003.
Elksia is an above-average Hertan-type, with an affinity for the dark and enhanced senses that allow her to easily track down others. She is a member of the Silver Fangs, a team of Ksa who defend the borders of Retha-controlled territory on planet Portalia.
Arkay is a below-average height Threan-type with his own unique type of telekinetic power (which he uses to create powerful shields), as well as the ability to use small amounts of magic. He is the former second-in-command of the K-Class Ksa – a unit designed to defend the Vice General at all costs, and is an expert pilot.
Tenuk appears to be a somewhat mutated Ethran-type, although he is of standard Ethran-type height, he is incredibly lightly built and very skinny. He has the ability to teleport short distances and adapt to his environment in a way similar to Zonta and some Thanatians. Tenuk is believed to be able to shapeshift, but this has not been observed and the Dessaron remain tight-lipped on Tenuk’s past.
The Dessaron currently reside on Portalia, the one planet best known for Deitic activity. They are on duty night and day and deal with any Deitic incursions that happen. They also periodically fight in the Dessaron Battle Arena. While Retvik is retired as general and the 270th Legion is currently suspended, Elksia still periodically does shifts on the Silver Fang border patrol and Arkay is available as a backup K-Class should he be needed.
