Adventures in the Space Between Universes
Arkay Litvir, Retvik and Arkay all sat patiently, sipping chocolate milk from plastic glasses, as they watched Galyn pace up and down. The Decaylings had been very much aware that something was going on with their bosses, but none of them were sure exactly what. The way Galyn was pacing though didn’t inspire them with much … Read more
“Ser, I am clearly busy right now.” Rethais rolled his eyes and tutted. The being sitting in front of him, a young Skyan ambassador, looked rather worried, wondering who Rethais was talking to. As the Skyan turned around, their worries turned into genuine fear, as they spotted the godly Void Lord standing in the doorway. … Read more
“I swear, they are fucking with us on purpose!” Arkay had never seen Galyn so angry. He had just been sneaking by to the kitchen when he’d caught a glimpse inside Itaviir’s office, where the three elder Decay Lords were quite busy arguing and clearly not paying attention to the slightly ajar door. Normally, Arkay … Read more
“What have you infected me with?” Kenon was vaguely annoyed with his guards. Normally they were much better at keeping unwanted people out of his throne room, especially when Kenon wanted to be left alone. But today, they had failed their job spectacularly. Standing in the middle of Kenon’s private area was one of his … Read more
Rethais took a deep breath as he stepped into the small office, preparing himself for bad news. He had faced an awful lot of it lately, so really, he shouldn’t have been so worried. But this was a potential health issue, something Rethais couldn’t easily fix. And that was what was bothering him so much. … Read more
“Ugh, I am so bored…” Relkir grunted as he sat by the window, idly tapping on the ultra thick glass pane. Outside, stars were forming, nebulae were blooming and a new universe was being born. This should have been a wondrous moment, but Relkir had seen it all before. It was all the work of … Read more
“Be honest now, when did you first notice this as an issue?” Rethais grunted, trying to remember, so he could give an honest answer. The pain had become noticeable and annoying only a couple of days ago, but there had been some vague pain for a while. As for the visible bruising? He was not … Read more
“You fascinate me.” Litvir had been hovering around for a while, watching Arkay as he studied. Arkay had only partially been paying attention, but Litvir’s most recent statement changed that. “Me? Fascinating you?” Arkay swung his chair round, leaving his books and work to one side. It wasn’t particularly important anyway, not right now. “Yes, … Read more
“When was the last time you went outside?” Kohra blinked his eyes one at a time, starting with the two on the right and ending with the two on the left. The white light from the screen in front of him seemed brighter than the sun. Or maybe it was because the lightbulb in his … Read more
Rethais’s neck as sore. Not all of it, just that awkward part between the neck and shoulder, where one’s normal armour collar would sit. Why his neck was sore, Rethais had no real idea. But the fact that part of him was sore and hurting was somewhat concerning. Normally, pain was never a problem. After … Read more
“So, what did you actually do?” Arkay gasped as he nearly fell backwards, grabbing the arm of his chair with his free hand. As soon as Arkay was certain he wasn’t going to hurt himself, he immediately turned to the being in the doorway who had interrupted him. “Do you not fucking know how to … Read more
“Good evening, little ones!” Vikalos smiled as he walked into the room, holding three folders. He knew that the young Decay Lords would all be together, so he was taking advantage of this time. “Hi,” Arkay awkwardly waved back, swallowing his bite of sandwich. “We’re kinda eating right now.” “I know. Which is why this … Read more
“Hello, dear! Long time no see!” Gath blinked, the fog clearing from his head. He had been staring for far too long at a bottle of ultra soft plating wax, a liquid soap Rethans used to clean their armour plating. This one in particular was meant for growing and developing plating that had not hardened … Read more
Rethais shuddered as he felt a heavy hand on his shoulder. He had been calmly working at his desk all day, reading through a large number of peace agreements between the Banikans and the Temthans. The peace treaty had little to do with the Rethavok, but since the Rethavok were the race currently ruled over … Read more
Volt stared blankly at the console in front of him, his multiple eyes scanning the message he had just received. By his side was his trusty Kuva Bramma and Zaw Rapier, the two weapons that had managed to get him through the True Mastery Test. The message in question was clearly an automated message, one … Read more
