Arkay “Hey, kiddo, how you feeling?” Arkadin’s eyes flicked open briefly. Those few milliseconds were just enough for him to inspect his surroundings. Rather than being sealed in a box like he expected, he was sealed inside some sort of… glowing machinery. “Kinisis… what happened?” The Allmaker hovered around, watching Arkadin with caution. In her hand … Read more
Kairos cursed as he peeled bits of dead Voidborn off his claws, preparing for another wave of enemies. No matter what he did, the swarm of golden monsters kept on coming. He would take down one swarm, only for the bastards to leave their golden armour behind, reform and attack again. Thankfully, Kairos was not … Read more
“One being from each intelligent, space-faring race. One perfect member. Each one gathered up and brought to you, Kinisis… The important ones, at least…” Yisini slithered around each pod, inspecting them in turn, wiping down the cold mist that had fogged up each viewing slide, making it hard to see what was inside them. “Your … Read more
Kairos sighed as he approached the main gate and briefly deactivated his time shield, the only thing separating the Fortress of Kinigi from the golden army of light that was waiting patiently outside. Once he had stepped through, he immediately re-raised the shields, checking briefly to make sure that nothing… extra had passed through. “You … Read more
“Elkay?” Teekay had been awkwardly distant the last few days. Things had been bothering him. His current situation wasn’t so much a bad one, but it was certainly awkward. Rather than trying to deal with this incomprehensible mess though, Teekay had decided to withdraw from the real world, hiding inside a sheet fort in his … Read more
Tenuk watched from the cockpit, waiting for the High General to finish what he was doing. He had been talking to a large circle of Rethans for quite a long time. While Tenuk wasn’t sure what exactly they were talking about, he could tell that none of it was good. Tenuk wanted to head outside … Read more
“So let me get this straight, they want us to give them Kenon’s dead body and hand over Arkadin, even though Kenon is still alive and Arkadin is in the process of being punished? What right do they have to do that?” Yisini was pretty damn upset. Not only was she trapped inside the Fortress … Read more
There was something in the sky. Strange, golden streaks carved their way through the cloudy blue skies, fading in and out of view. They had appeared suddenly and without any hint of warning. While the streaks appeared harmless, a curious mark on otherwise plain skies, they had caused quite a bit of panic among the … Read more
Kairos collapsed, exhausted and defeated. Incisions and cuts covered his body, dripping silver blood down his cyan and sapphire scales. He was still drawing breath though, refusing to give up completely. Even as the gleaming gold being pressed its foot down on Kairos’s back, pushing him into the ground. “Allmaker Kinisis! Hand them both over!” … Read more
Rethais had been unsure how to react all day, as he had been shown around what used to be the old Rethan governmental headquarters and was now a glimmering, golden palace. Yisini frowned to herself as she worked. Something had cropped up, interrupting her normal duties. A little plague. Not a dangerous one, just an annoyingly contagious one. One that was irritatingly asymptomatic for too damn long. Luckily she was getting it under control, mostly by convincing everyone to stay inside and watch television. “Yisini, am … Read more
“I assume she met with you as well.” Compared to the rest to the rest of the cafe, which had been empty for hours, this one table was very cramped. Not because it had too many beings around it, but because one of those beings was a Banikan, taking up too much space. “Yes. She … Read more

“Dear Flamebearer Retvik…” Retvik examined the one letter that had arrived on his bedside table, next to his small glass of grape juice and the plastic tub of jellied meat and gravy.
