“So! Was the delay that bad?” Teekay exclaimed as he dragged Elkay and Kaytee over to the parking area, just as a taxi ship left.
Telecharm grunted as he dragged his luggage over. “Not really, but it was a rush getting to my connecting flight. That’ll teach me for going for the cheapest flights possible.”
“You know you can always ask us for help, right?” Kaytee tutted. “We helped out other people when it came to this whole mess. I mean, our job is literally to help people.”
“I know, I know, but I feel like us Teekays are low on the list of priorities and I don’t want to trouble you lot. You’re sect-based Decay Lords, you don’t make much.”
Elkay shrugged. “I make plenty because I am a Synaisthyn, and many of the Thantir are actually quite wealthy. Arkay, Retvik and Litvir in particular, they are a Hidden Trio and Retvik and Litvir finally get a proper income because of that now. If you need help, we often work something out.”
“I guess…”
“Seriously, we got you covered!” Teekay beamed. “We’re gonna have a ton of fun.”
“Still, I feel weird being here. I don’t know the Tattered Navigators that well.”
Teekay waved his hand dismissively. “Dude, Vikalos asked me to invite all the Teekays.”
“Really?”
“Yeah! He enjoys having us manic little guys around. We brighten stuff up. And we’re all hilarious when we’re drunk, apparently.”
Teekay suddenly paused. He’d received a message. He read the message, then grinned.
Spirithuntress: Intruder Alert! There’s a new Teekay in the base!
Shocktrooper: a new tk in the base?
Spirithuntress: A new Teekay in the base!
Spirithuntress: The Justar guy Vikalos is greeting. Go go go!
Shocktrooper: going going going
Teekay glanced around, to where another ship had landed and Vikalos had gone over to meet the person exiting it. With an evil smile, he grabbed Kaytee and Telecharm, then teleported over, leaving Elkay behind. Elkay wasn’t bothered though. He smiled a little as well, glad his husband was having fun, then headed back to the main areas to inform Ksar Teekay and the Loopblades about what was about to happen.
Vikalos though was completely unaware. He hadn’t seen the many of Teekays storming towards him. The Justarian Lord had, and was a little concerned.
“Uh, Firestorm, who… who are all these beings?”
Vikalos inspected the Justarian Lord, then the Teekays, then the Justarian Lord again. After a while, he smiled, having worked out why the Teekays were here.
“Arcblade, this is the welcome party for beings like you.”
“Beings like me?” Arcblade blinked. “Those… they are… they are not Behe’na… I think… Are you all… Beh’ena?”
Telecharm looked at Arcblade funny
Vikalos smiled some more as he patted Skyan Teekay on the head. “Arcblade, this is Shocktrooper, real name Teekay. He is in charge of looking after people like you.”
Arcblade blinked some more. “Your… your name is Teekay?”
“We’re all called Teekay here!” Skyan Teekay beamed. “I’m the original Thantir Teekay though. Gonna guess you’re called Teekay too!”
Arcblade hesitated, then nodded. “My name is Teekay-En Photeianos, codename Arcblade. I am a Justarian Lord, in charge of the border between these three Sectors. I am also one of Lightblade’s elder children, and I joined the Justar as a peace offering between the Justar and the Phantai.”
Teekay glanced at Telecharm and Kaytee, who had both instantly done the same thing. Something beeped on Arcblade’s person. Arcblade checked his communicator, expecting an important message from his staff, only to see that he had been invited into a group chat.
“I… I think some explanations are required.”
“We’re all called Teekay!” Skyan Teekay bluntly explained. “And you’re now part of the group. Anyway, as Vikalos said, us Teekays are here to keep you occupied and give you a good time.”
Arcblade stared at Teekay. “But you are not a Beh’ena.”
“Have you ever seen a Beh’ena?” Kaytee asked.
“No. Most have not.”
“Itaviir and Galyn have!” Skyan Teekay smirked. “And apparently one is coming to the wedding.”
“A… a Beh’ena is coming?”
Just as Arcblade spoke, another ship landed. It was a very sleek, silver ship. Its occupants didn’t wait to be greeted or anything, they just climbed out, spotted Vikalos and waltzed over.
“Scary Vik! Heya!” Thyel grinned as he held Vret’s hand. Vret was floating, as many Beh’ena seemed to do. “Long time no see, my man! Who’s this guy?”
“Good to see you too, Thyel! Vretvika, it is a pleasure to meet you properly!” Vikalos bowed slightly. “Welcome!”
Vret bowed back. “A pleasure to meet you too! And you all must be the Teekays that Letharus and Vick spoke about!”
“We are, yes!” Kaytee nodded. “We’re here to collect all the Teekays. We got this one, we’re just waiting for two more.”
“Just two?” Telecharm asked. “The Loopblades are already here?”
“Yeah! We’ll take you and this Arcblade guy, once he’s stopped staring at Vret!” Skyan Teekay exclaimed. “He’s kinda freaking out right now.”
“I… uh…” Arcblade had lost the ability to talk. He tried a few more times, but quickly gave up and sighed. “Sorry…”
“It’s fine!” Vret clearly wasn’t bothered. “I only recently learned that most Beh’ena remain hidden, and most Beh’enu have either not seen one in a long time, or have never seen one. Anyway, Vikalos, dear, we would like to speak with Litvir and Retvik, are they around?”
“I think they are in the main offices. I can take you there, if you want?”
“We’d love that!” Vret smiled properly.
“Wonderful!” Vikalos smiled back. “Teekay, darling, in the mean time, please take Arcblade and show him around, then get him settled down. Try not to stress him out too much.”
“Will do, Vikalos!” Teekay beamed. “Come along now, Beh’en Teekay, you’re going to have fun! FUN with a capital N!”
Arcblade stuttered as Skyan Teekay grabbed his hand and the many of Teekays dragged him off.
“Hah. They’re gonna have fun…” Thyel snickered. “Anyway, thanks for having us. You excited, Vikalos?”
“I am, yes. I can’t wait…”
